World Catholic
Education Day
The World Catholic Education Day was launched in 2002 at a Congress of OIEC in Brasilia. It has been observed in some countries on the Day of the Ascension, which is 40 days after Easter. The Day was relaunched by OIEC and other organizations in 2021 for its 20th anniversary. The aim of the Day is to reflect on, recognize, and celebrate Catholic education. This page provides resources for individuals, schools, universities, and other organizations to observe the day, including links to interviews of Catholic educators and others dedicating their life to integral human development all around the world. If you have ideas for additional resources to be provided on this page, please contact us.
